FAQ
PitchBerkeley is not a crowdfunding website or an investment service. We simply highlight the breadth and depth of startups affiliated with UC Berkeley's startup accelerators.
PitchBerkeley features videos from the startups that earned acceptance into, and graduated from a UC Berkeley startup accelerator such as SkyDeck, Launch, CITRIS Foundry, and QB3 Garage. We limit videos to these companies in order to maximize the quality of the videos and the readiness of the startups for public exposure.
Please complete our submission form. Your video needs to be uploaded to YouTube. Before we post the video, we may seek concurrence from the UC Berkeley accelerator that you graduated from.
Absolutely! Videos can be removed by the corresponding startup CEO or accelerator management. Contact us to remove your video.
PitchBerkeley is deliberately optimized for posting startup pitches. Other content can become outdated, so we simply link to company websites where (we presume) content is kept up-to-date.
Currently, PitchBerkeley is open to the public. Our primary target audience is early stage investors and strategic corporate partners for UC Berkeley startups. We're also targeting entrepreneurial students and others who want to get a feel for Berkeley's vast, vibrant and diversified startup environment.
PitchBerkeley is absolutely not a substitute for the demo day events of our startup accelerators (just as TED.com isn't a replacement for TED conferences). The online experience can’t take the place of the in-person experience - along with the networking and other benefits of the in-person demo day events. Furthermore, videos aren’t posted to PitchBerkeley until weeks or months after the demo day events.
