Description: Nosocom Solutions is a startup building innovative products to prevent and combat Nosocomial Infections/Healthcare Associated Infections (“HAI”). HAI are infections that patients contract while receiving treatment at healthcare facilities. About 1 in 25 people admitted to hospitals in the US are infected with HAIs. Nearly 75,000 die per year as a result of this preventable condition and costs the US healthcare system nearly $33 billion/year. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”) has declared HAIs a ‘winnable battle’, as these are preventable conditions. Our first product “DCab” is an innovative solution to combat infections transmitted by lead aprons and white coats.
