Description: Renklikoy provides survivors of domestic violence in Turkey with the tools they need to achieve economic independence. Access to sustainable income is the key resource required to break the cycle of domestic violence by filling the gap which currently exists among existing empowerment programs. Employment helps the rehabilitation process and provides the women with a source of income. Renklikoy produces jam, a high margin product common in Turkish homes, and partners with shelters to identify and exclusively hire survivors. Renklikoy also works with other mission-driven organizations that offer skills training / workforce lobbying to create a fully integrated solution. As Renklikoy scales, the social enterprise will evolve into a community and vertically integrate operations to a farm to source fruits and provide further skills training to survivors.
